Principal's Message

Dear SHS of Purpose and Promise, 

The SHS Administrative Team would like to take this opportunity to welcome you back to Swainsboro High School where “We are dedicated and motivated to be educated!”  We hope that you have had an opportunity to renew and recharge your mind, body, and spirit before the start of a magical year at Swainsboro High School.  We are super excited about the start of the 2024-2025 school year and all of the possibilities that it holds for our staff and our students.

While this year is unlike any that we have experienced in the past, I hope that you are committed to all of the opportunities that this year holds for all of us to learn and grow.  As Literacy growth continues to be a concern of emphasis, we will commit to center our efforts of improvement for students in all grade levels.  In addition, we will continue to build our SHS family by molding and shaping life-long learners and creating life-long friendships.

During the 2024-2025 school year we will focus on the well-being of our students and our staff, student engagement and growth, and communication with families.  We want you to know how much we appreciate your commitment to making Swainsboro High School a place where students want to come to learn.  The administrative team will do its level best to ensure that it is also a place where teachers want to teach.
